Range Rover SUVs have been around a long time, but if you're driving one these days, there's a good chance it's from model year 1987 or later. 1988, for example, saw base and 40th Anniversary Edition trims released, with 3.5-liter V8 engines. 1989 added County and Hunter trims, with 3.9-liter, eight-cylinder engines.
The line took off through the 1990s, with a Great Divide trim coming out in 1991, an LSE trim appearing in 1992, County LWB and Sport trims showing up in 1993, and 25th Anniversary Edition, County Classic, and SE trims joining them in 1995. By 2000, you could get HSE, HSK, and Vitesse trims, and 4.0- and 4.6-liter V8 engines available.
2006 unveiled a Supercharged option, while 2007 made a 4.4-liter V8 option shelling 305 horsepower available. The latter was mated to a six-speed ZF automatic transmission. That year, features ranged from all-wheel drive, automatic tri-zone air conditioning, and Xenon headlights to an automatic load-leveling suspension, heated windshield wipers, alloy wheels, and more.
For 2021, trims galore are available: base, HSE, Westminster Edition, Autobiography, Autobiography Fifty Edition, SVAutobiography Dynamic, and SVAutobiography Ultimate, to be exact. A turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 engine is available, as is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four, paired with a 105-kW electric motor; the former makes 254 horsepower, the latter, 398 horsepower. Two turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engines are also options, one producing 355 horsepower and the other putting out 395 horsepower. Finally, there are two supercharged 5.0-liter V8 models to choose from, a 518-horsepower and a 557-horsepower. Features include an air suspension, LED exterior lighting, heated rear seats, a refrigerator, and more.
